Award winning author, Ashley Mills Monaghan, is native to Grand Rapids, Michigan but also considers herself to be from Portland, Oregon.  She graduated from Chapman University with BFA in Film Production and a Minor in Music in 2005. Upon graduating, Ashley moved to Dublin, Ireland where she received her Post Graduate Degree in Montessori Early Childhood Education at St. Nicholas Montessori College Ireland. Ashley worked as a music teacher, private piano instructor and preschool teacher for several years both in Ireland and in the US. After living in Ireland for 6 years, Ashley and her family moved to California where they enjoy the sun, the beach and other outdoor activities.

“A Little Goes a Long Way’ was first published in December of 2013 and has won 4 awards so far including an Honorable Mention from the Readers’ Favorite International Book Contest in the children’s concept category (a former win by Jim Carrey) and Runner Up at the Hollywood Book Festival. Ashley was invited to be part of the storyteller stage at the OC Children’s Book Festival in 2014 and has been invited to be part of the annual author day series at Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine, CA. for 3 years in a row. Ashley has been invited to do readings and signings for her award winning book for local events, schools, libraries, and non profit organizations both internationally and all over the US. She is currently working on another book due to come out next spring.

Vivian Nguyen was born and raised in Arizona - and thanks to the encouragement from family and friends - she knew from an early age that she would want to pursue an artistic career. After graduating from Art Center College of Design in 2002, she spent about 8 years in the toy design industry - mostly designing and developing preschool toys and plush for various licensed brands. She lives in Los Angeles and currently works for Hasbro/Dreamworks after working at Nickelodeon Games as a Flash artist/animator. She also freelances in illustration and toy design, and participates in various group gallery shows. Her most favorite things in life are family, friends and ice cream.
